Sadddleback Women’s Volleyball gets swept by Fullerton
The Saddleback women’s volleyball team was swept in three games by Fullerton College Oct. 22.
The Hornets won 25-21, 25-19 and 25-14.
The Gauchos had the lead for much of the first game against the Hornets. Fullerton tied the score at 16.
With the score, 20-19, in favor of the Hornets, Leah Haproff served out four points leading to the first game victory.
The same tale was true in the second game of the match. The score was tied at 17 when the Hornets’ Reilly Stevens served out six straight points.
The third game was dominated by the Hornets.
Jade Esquivel led Fullerton with 14 kills. Saddleback was led by Ashleigh Cottrell’s five kills and four blocks. Rachel Talafus led the Gauchos with 22 defensive digs.
The Gauchos play at Cypress College tonight and will host Orange Coast College Friday night. Both matches start at 6 p.m.
