New Microsoft store in Mission Viejo gets its grand-opening-grooves from Justin Bieber
Mission Viejo Mall is popping off Thurs., Oct. 29, with the grand opening celebration of Microsoft Store, the second official outlet.
The store features the new Microsoft products including desktops, laptops, Windows 7, Xbox’s, and Zunes for a one-stop Microsoft shop.
Microsoft helps celebrate this day by having a multitude of prizes and events for their customers to enjoy. For the first 1000 customers, they will receive free concert tickets for a Justin Bieber concert hosted at 5 p.m. Also 350 lucky customers will receive a free copy of Microsoft Office Home. They are also giving an addition special to customers that purchase a computer on opening day, a free Hewlett-Packard printer.
“I got some free prizes from Microsot just for waking in the door,” said Ahmed Lashcar.
Also Microsoft will debut DJ hero and their Xbox 360 for customers to try and see the new game. Also there will be competitions in Guitar Hero for small prizes for children and adults to enjoy.
People critique that Microsoft opened their store to attempt to take customers from competition, but Kim Stocks, director of corporate communications for Microsoft assures that they aim to create a location of all Microsoft products under one roof.
“I like how there is a location I can go to get my Microsoft questions answered by a real person,” said Hathem Ferag, 25, Business Management major.
Mission Viejo Mall also is home to an Apple Store but on the opening day, they were closed for construction and remodeling. The crowds will have to wait for the new Apple Store design as Microsoft plans to compete for customers.
