MLK birthday commemoration: “Peace and Understanding”

A ceremony commemorating the life of slain civil rights leader, the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., will be held at the McKinney Theater on Jan. 24 at 10:30 a.m.
Founder and Senior Pastor of the City of Hope International Church, Reverend Terrell Fletcher, will officiate. Pastor Fletcher will speak to King’s legacy and conduct a question and answer session.
The commemoration will be followed by a “Peace Walk” sponsored by the Soka Gakkai International-USA, and will take participants from the McKinney Theater to the Village Quad.
The event will conclude with a complimentary “Fish Fry” to which all students, staff and faculty are invited.
