Halloween is right around the corner. Store bought costumes can go out of stock really fast or can be very expensive.
Costumes do not have to be super complicated or hard. There are many easy costumes one can make in the comfort of their own home. Save money and the time looking for a costume by making one yourself!
Cowgirl/cowboy
This cute and easy costume never goes out of style! All that is needed for this costume is jeans or jean shorts, a flannel with any shirt on underneath and a cowboy hat. If owned or wanted, one can add cowboy boots to their costume as well.
Minion
This costume can be super simple with the right tools! For this costume, grab some overalls, a yellow shirt and big goggles or sunglasses. To make it look more like a minion the goggles or glasses should be clear and circular.
Adam Sandler
Hilarious, classic and easy. Just grab an oversized tee and jorts or long athletic shorts to complete this look. To really seal the deal girls, tie your hair in a bun and add some scruff to your chin with makeup to really transform yourself into the character.
Superman
This classic costume is perfect for going out or staying in and handing out candy! All you need is a blue shirt, a white collared shirt and a tie. One can print out the superman logo and tape it to the blue shirt, then put the white collared shirt on top of the blue shirt and only button it half way and finally put the tie undone around the neck. If you have glasses you can use that as the perfect touch for the costume.
Subway Surfers
This fun video-game inspired costume is super fun and can be done easily! Jeans with red shorts or tights coming out of the top, a white tank top and a red beanie is all that is needed for this costume. For an added touch, one can go to the store and buy spray paint or print out a spray paint logo and glue it onto a different bottle.
Men in Black
Be tough and slick in this costume! This costume would need black slacks, a white collared shirt, a black blazer and black sunglasses. Another added component to really get the costume across would be to print out or make a men in black badge to put on the blazer.
Cat
This costume has some freedom for you to be whatever cat you’d like! The easiest idea for this would be wearing all black and putting on makeup to make their face look like a cat. An added addition could be buying cat ears or a tail from the store.

Princess
Feel beautiful and elegant dressing as a princess! Grabbing a dress out of one’s own closet and making a wand or a tiara is all that is needed for this costume. A tiara can be bought from the store or handmade, but it is probably easier to buy from the store. If you want a wand, you can make one out of paper and add a star on top!
Ghost
This idea is great for a last minute costume! A ghost can be simply made by cutting up a sheet and drawing a face on it with black marker. This is a great costume if you are trying to make a last minute costume.
Halloween can seem expensive with buying decorations and candy, but don’t let the costumes add to the cost!
