Landslide Victory for Jay, 62.5%-37.5%

SOCCCD incumbent Governing Board Member William (Bill) Jay, won a landslide victory over opponent Arlene Greer in Tuesday’s general election. Jay, a trustee since March 2004, beat out Greer 62.5% to 37.5%, and will begin serving his second term in 2009.
Before becoming a Governing Board Member, Jay held multiple positions including College President, Dean of Instruction for Mathematics, and Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services and Human Resources.
