IVC’s Kashif Watson signs with Idaho

As announced by Irvine Valley’s men’s basketball coach Jerry Hernandez, sophomore guard Kashif Watson has signed with the University of Idaho.

Watson averaged 13.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 52.3 percent from the floor while playing in all of the Lasers’ 32 games this past season.

After its road ended with a 84-81 loss to LA Trade Tech in the regional final, IVC (27-5) finished the season ranked No. 7 in the state and No. 3 in Southern California.

The 27 wins this past season was an IVC record for most wins in a season.

Idaho finished with a record of 8-21 overall last season and was 5-11 in the Western Athletic Conference.
