Hispanic businesses to host conference
The South Orange county Hispanic business conference will be held Nov. 17 at Saddleback College from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is the first of its kind and will feature simultaneous seminars in English and Spanish divided into three tracks.
Several of the topics to be discussed include, how to start a business, financial options for businesses, labor laws, effectiveresumesthatopen doors, and many other helpful and interesting topics to anyone interested in business should know and be aware of.
They count on the help and support of many sponsors and several agencies, including the IRS, SBA, EDD, Hispanic Business Consultants, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, OC Business Center, One-Stop Center and OC United Way.
A good spark about the event, is to the first 200 people that call and make a reservation to attend, they will receive a free lunch provided by Taco Mesa.
Ivan Calderon, owner of the Taco Mesa chain, will be one of the few to give a speech about his career, success and experience with the business. This event targets Hispanics but it’s not limited to any ethnic group. More than 300 business owners, entrepreneurs, and employees are expected to attend.
“This conference is a great networking opportunity as well as a good chance to learn about the different resources available in South Orange County,” said business consultant Eduardo Figueroa, the conference chair. “[It’s also good] for those who are thinking of starting a business or expanding their business, and for employees as well.”
