Men’s water polo continues to heat up pool
Gaucho water polo won against Santa Ana College last Wednesday 14-10.
The Dons started the game off strong brining the score to 5-3 in the second quarter.
Saddleback would not let the quarter end that way as they scored five goals.
Santa Ana scored two more goals bringing the half to a tie.
The Gauchos had help from players Paul Schneringer and Matthew Vianueva.
Schneringer, Saddleback freshman from San Clemente High School, had four goals in the game and Vianeuva finished the game with three goals.
Both teams finished the third quarter without any goals leaving the fourth quarter the time to take the game.
Saddleback scored six goals in the final quarter while Santa Ana only scored two.
The final score was 14-10 for Saddleback. The Gauchos play again next Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Riverside.
