Lasers conquer San Diego Mesa
The Irvine Valley College men’s tennis team defeated San Diego Mesa College, 5-1 on Tuesday vaulting them to a 16-1 overall record on the season.
The Lasers are now only one win away from returning to the state championships. IVC finished second at the state championships last season.
The Olympians beat the Lasers in the first match of the day, but from then on, IVC dominated five straight matches to win the contest 5-1.
IVC, the number one ranked team in California, will matchup next against the number two ranked team, College of the Desert for the second consecutive year.
The schools will play at IVC on Saturday at an undetermined time.
