Lady Gauchos play well in tournament
Saddleback’s women’s basketball team hosted the Lady Gauchos Classic this past weekend and made it to the finals, only to lose to East Los Angeles College, 64-58.
Sophomore, guard, Emily Cox led the Gauchos in scoring with 21 points. Sophomore, guard, Deja Brooks led the team in rebounds and assists with 8 and 5 respectively.
Even with 21 bench points, the Gauchos could not handle the scoring wrath of East LA’s Jocelyne Diaz who led the team in scoring and rebounding with 32 and 12 respectively.
With the loss, Saddleback moves to 3-3 and East LA goes to an undefeated 6-0 on the season. The Gauchos next game is Dec. 5 and it will be against Citrus College at Chaffey College.
