Gauchos win ‘super tie-breaker’ at San Diego Mesa

After winning four singles matches earlier in the day, the Gauchos fought to win a doubles match described as a “super tie-breaker,” said Coach Bud Davis to overcome San Diego Mesa College, at San Diego, last Tuesday.

With this win, the Gauchos improve to 1-2, rebounding from a loss at home to Glendale College. Coach Davis says that the key to improving is “steadiness”, and says the team has been improving with each game they’ve played.

Despite praying for no rain for last Thursday’s home match against LA Pierce, the game was postponed to weather. The game against LA Pierce has been rescheduled to Friday, March 21st. The next home match will be on Feburary 22nd against San Diego.

All home matches take place on the Tennis Courts, near Lot 5A. Admission is free.
