Gauchos host rival Riverside Tigers on Saturday
The Saddleback College football team continues their season Saturday, when the Gauchos (1-1) host the rival Riverside CC Tigers (1-1).
These teams are rather familiar due to numerous local meetings over the years. The most recent of these meetings was the end of Saddleback’s previous season at the hand of the Tigers by the score of 31-14.
Saddleback coach Mark McElroy set a career goal last week by leading the Gauchos to his 100th career victory, entering his fourteenth season.
Quarterback Tim Belman is also on a high note, during the last two games his offense has provided 98 points, but Belman himself has also thrown 78 completions for 117 attempts.
Game time is 6pm at Saddleback Stadium.
