Jeff Ledbetter
The sophomore forward from Orange Lutheran High School, had a monster game against the conference-leading Riverside, despite a quiet first half. The Lasers were down by eight points with little time left. Ledbetter led the Lasers 8-0 run with two three pointers, including one that tied the game with just a little over a minute left. He finished with 23 points and three assists. The Lasers lost the game 71-66. But there was no lack of effort by all of the Laser players. IVC had a chance to take the lead with 37 seconds left but Ledbetter missed the three-point attempt. The Lasers will conclude their home schedule next Wednesday vs. Saddleback. Tip off for Homecoming is at 5:30 p.m.
Bosshart twins – Kelly and Sarah
In a wild game versus Cerritos, the Bosshart twins proved to work together quite well. In a key moment of the game, Kelly Bosshart reached first base on an error. Her sister Sarah successfully sacrificed her to second base. This led to Kelly scoring the game-winning run on a ground out by Lauren Molina. Sarah finished with two singles on the day in the Gaucho 5-4 win.
