Dorrian Wyatt, 21, was killed Friday, March 25, when her Honda Civic collided with a semi-truck and trailer on Ortega Highway, east of Shadetree Lane in San Juan Capistrano.

“It is with the heaviest heart that I say that my beautiful daughter Dorrian Wyatt has passed away,” said Cecilia Chodosh, Wyatt’s

mother, in a Facebook post. “She was involved in a car accident early this morning and did not make it. She is the light of my life and I can’t even wrap my head around this.”

Wyatt was a Ladera Ranch resident and graduated from San Clemente High School. She studied photography at Saddleback College.

“She was a nice and respectable student,” said Ken Kinder, senior lab technician of photography at Saddleback College.

Supporters started a GoFundMe account to help with funeral costs. The crowdfunding effort raised over $4,000 in three days. The service is scheduled for April 10, at 11 a.m., said Wyatt’s parents.

“This is so unbelievable! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and who has said their prayers for us in this time,” said Chodosh on Facebook. “We have surpassed the original goal.”

Wyatt’s siblings and parents thanked supporters for their company, prayers and social media posts.

According to The Major Accident Reconstruction Team, the cause of the collision is an ongoing investigation. Information about the crash could not be released, Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
