The Presidential Inauguration Day is a nationwide celebration, and Saddleback College is not one to miss out on the festivities.

Saddleback College’s Democrats together with the Young Republicans will be hosting an inauguration celebration from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in SSC 211 and 212.

“I invite all students, faculty, staff, and administrators to view the inauguration,” said Tod A. Burnett, president of Saddleback College, in a prepared statement. “In many nations, Inauguration Day is recognized as a holiday, and as such, I think it is fitting for those who are working at our college to be able to see the live inauguration of our new president.”

The swearing-in ceremony and the inaugural address are scheduled to air at 8:30 a.m., and will be replayed throughout the day in SSC 212 for those who are unable to watch it live. The entire days historic events will be aired live throughout the day in SSC 211.

The day will mark history as our 44th President of the United States is sworn in with the entire country as a witness.
