Elderly man with Alzheimer’s found safe after helicopter search

Eighty-eight-year-old man with Ahlazimer’s Juan Gallegas went missing today around 1:00 p.m. when he wandered away from his apartment in the Broadstone Cavora apartment complex. He was found an hour later in a neighboring apartment. A police helicopter was seen flying over Saddleback College and The Shops at Mission Viejo directing people with loudspeakers to be vigilant of the missing individual. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Gallagas’ neighbors left their front door open and he wandered in.
