Commencement at Saddleback College and IVC to take place Friday

With the end of another semester, students at Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College will cross the stage and receive their degrees or certificates at commencement on Friday.
Commencement at Saddleback is slated to start at 9:00 a.m. at the Saddleback Gym. According to a press release from Saddleback, 1,275 students will receive their Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degrees and 1,165 students will receive certificates of achievements.
Saddleback’s keynote speaker on Friday will be University of California, Irvine chancellor Michael V. Drake. After serving five years as the Vice President of Health Affairs for the University of California system, Drake became UCI’s fifth chancellor with his appointment in July 2005.
IVC will hold its spring commencement at the Live Oak Terraces by the Performing Arts Center at IVC at 5:00 p.m. The keynote speaker for IVC‘s commencement will be Mary Niven, Vice President of Disney California Adventure Park and Guest Services at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.
