BREAKING: Orange County Jail escapee Bac Duong in custody
Bac Duong, 43, one of the three inmates that escaped from the Orange County Men’s Jail in Santa Ana last Friday is now in custody.
Authorities stated Duong had responded to an advertisement for the sale of a 2008 GMC utility van. When he contacted the seller and requested a test drive, the man agreed, not knowing who he was or that Duong would conclude the test drive by stealing his van.
Duong, last known as a resident of Santa Ana, was spotted in the south end of Los Angeles, where the van was stolen from.
He was incarcerated on a murder charge when he escaped from the Orange County Men’s Jail. The full details regarding Duong’s apprehension are not available at this time, however, officials are saying Duong surrendered himself to police through a civilian.
The other two escapees are still at large.
Updates on the investigation to come as the information becomes available.
