New students coming to Saddleback College can enjoy library services for fall semester Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With fall semester underway, many Saddleback students are returning to the library after an extended summer break.

“I use the library about four times a week,” said Austin Norton, 21, physics. “I split my time between the second and third floors. I have easier access to textbooks on the third floor.”

Although they find the library helpful in many ways, some students may be unaware of how to fully utilize the library’s many resources.

“This is my first semester at Saddleback, and although I haven’t used the library very much already, I intend to do so in the future,” said Celeste Jimenez, 18, kinesiology. ” It’s easier to study on campus than at home because there are less distractions.”

Many students who use the library are unaware of the full range of services offered.

“I use the library twice a week primarily to study between classes,” said  Tehna Paez, 19, marketing. “I am unaware of everything offered by the library, but I know about the tutoring program.”
