Red Ribbon Career Fair comes to Saddleback tomorrow
The Red Ribbon Career Fair will be in the upper on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to bring awareness to drug prevention, provide internship possibilities to students and offer help from support groups.
A few of the over 45 participants attending include: Mother’s Against Drunk Driving, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Women Helping Women (WHW) and 211.
“We’re excited as always to bring forth drug prevention awareness,” Peggy Dakin, HSHS program specialist said. “It’s awareness and prevention for drugs and alcohol and opportunities for jobs.”
Besides the career fair, Saddleback College provides support for recovery and addiction in the Building and General Studies Building. The recovery support group meets Mondays from 5 p.m. to 6: 30 p.m. and the 12-step program for all addictions meets Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
