Horticulture department to hold Earth Week closing ceremony

Earth Week is being aware of climate change in our world. Our energy source in our world that affects our environment. Ways to reduce energy consumption to save our resources.

Our ecological awareness in the world should be to recycle or plant a tree — green is our world project.

Earth Week activities at Saddleback College’s horticulture department’s garden are coming to a conclusion. The closing ceremony will be Friday, April 24. Garden activities are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and drinks and snacks will be offered at the event.

Saddleback students will be going back to growing fruits and vegetables and variations plants in their course studies for a grade. The horticulture staff and students responsibility  of the care of plants are year round.

Classes in horticulture and landscape design are offered during the summer. Check the class schedule for details.  Information on the department’s programs and classes is available on its website.
