Suspect apprehended and charged in fatal stabbing at Patsy’s

Shayan Mazroei, 22, a Saddleback College student, was stabbed to death outside Patsy’s Irish Pub in Laguna Niguel last Sunday night.

Craig Tanber, a documented gang member with a criminal history, according to the District Attorney’s office, is being charged with one felony count of murder with sentencing enhancements, according to the District Attorney’s office. If convicted, Tanber faces a sentence of 76 years to life in prison.

Tanber is in custody with a bail set at $1 million and is scheduled to be arraigned today in Central Jail, Santa Ana.

The owners of Patsy’s posted a thank you to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

This capture brings a great deal of relief to all of us affected by the recent senseless violent act committed earlier this week by Tanber.
