Attempted rape case under investigation after woman fights off suspect in Mission Viejo

Investigators are seeking information about a suspect who reportedly attempted to sexually assault a woman walking on a trail Wednesday.
Authorities responded to the call at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the area of Marguerite Pkwy. and La Paz Rd. at Oso Creek Trail.
The woman fought off the suspect after he reportedly grabbed and pulled her to the ground, attempting to pull her pants off.
The man is described as 5’10, about 50 years old with a husky build and a black flat top hair cut. At the time of the attack he was wearing a white shirt, khaki pants and work boots.
