Zach Cavanagh
I am 19 and in my third semester at Saddleback College and second on Lariat. I am majoring in Journalism, and after graduating from Saddleback, I plan on transferring to USC, UC Santa Barbara, or Chapman University.
I came to Saddleback after graduating from Laguna Hills High School. I was on their newspaper, Hawkeye, for three years. I was sports editor for two years and Editor-In-Cheif for one year. I also earned fourth place in sports writing at the Orange County High School Journalism Write-Off and qualified for the Southern California Write-Off. I also played football for four years, three on varsity, and four years starting on the varsity lacrosse team
I want to pursue a career in sports broadcasting. I would like to do play-by-play, be a sports anchor, or have my own radio show.
