Tigers stay in OEC title picture with win vs. IVC

The Lasers Women’s Soccer team came up short last Friday in a 3-1 loss.

The Lasers had the home field advantage but the Tigers took the early advantage scoring a goal in the 18th minute.

In the second half the Tigers struck again on a goal by Alana Wohlers.

Five minutes later the Tigers went ahead 3-0 on a goal by Alyssa Popov who already had an assist in the game.

The Lasers scored their only goal in the 62nd minute.

Kacie Bigos dribbled through Tiger defenders and sent a cross which was headed in by Nora Garcia. Daisy Garcia filled in at goal for the Lasers and stopped 4 shots.

Riverside (12-2-3, 9-1-2) stayed in the race for the conference title with last Friday’s win. The Tigers are a half game behind Cypress and two games behind Santiago College.

The Lasers (3-13-3, 1-7-3) will play at Santiago Canyon, Friday ay 3:00 p.m.
