Tidal wave of wins for Gauchos
Women’s water polo beat Cypress Oct. 20. 6-5.
The women gained a four-goal lead before the half but left room in their defense for Cypress to score five goals.
Saddleback came back from a 5-4 shortage to prove that it was going to win.
The women scored two goals in the last quarter of the game bringing the final score to 6-5.
The women also played in a tournament this weekend hosted by Long Beach City College.
They lost their first game against Merced, 12-9.
The Gauchos came to play in the rest of the tournament.
In the second game of the weekend, the women played Mt. San Antonio and won , 12-8.
On Saturday the Gauchos played Ventura. The score was 10-9. The Gauchos brought home the second win of the tournament.
They finished the weekend strong in their game against Cuesta, winning 7-6.
The women play today at Orange Coast College at 4 p.m.
