SOCCCD candidates sit down for open forum
With the election coming up quickly, the candidates running for the South Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees Area 7 seat gathered in front of a small crowd on Thursday afternoon at the Ronald Reagan Board of Trustees room to discuss their policies and answer questions from the audience.
Forum moderator and Saddleback political science professor Lee Haggerty opened the forum by introducing candidates Tim Jemal, Jan Serrantino-Cox, and John S. Williams, and Saddleback economics professor Ken Woodward.
Woodward was present to represent candidate Mike Moodian, who was absent from the forum due to a prior commitment. Woodward read from a prepared statement from Moodian in regards to his policies and ideas. At the end of his statement, Moodian offered to meet with anyone at a later date who had questions about what he proposed to do if elected.
