Send a little love on Valentine’s Day to our troops

Fleming’s grassroots campaign began as a high school project.

A Million Thanks can consider updating their charity’s name in part to one of their nine sponsors: Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants. The charity mails letters of encouragement, love, gratitude, and whatever else their 5.12 million senders wish to give the men and women of the U.S. military.

AMillionThanks.org was started by Shauna Fleming,” said Andrew Gower, manager of the Farrell’s at the Shops of Mission Viejo. “Her dad (Micheal) is the CEO of Farrell’s”.

The charity and ice cream parlour have teamed up with Skateland, Chapman University, and six other companies to collect and mail Valentine’s Day cards to the troops overseas.

The goal is to collect a million by Feb. 1. There is a drop box at Farrell’s in Mission Viejo. For more information visit their website.
