Saddleback College goes international

This week is International Education week at Saddleback College, featuring events like a Bollywood and Salsa Dance class, a fashion show, a plant sale, Phi Theta Kappa fall induction, and library workshops.

This week is promoted by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. department of Education. It is for the purpose of preparing Americans for a global environment, and to attract leaders from other countries in order to study, learn and experience the United States.

Monday featured a Bollywood and Salsa dance class in the SSC building Room 212. The International Student Office sponsored Reetu Patel of MAD Bollywood Dance Company for a lecture and dance lesson.

Urban Fusion Fashion Show will be held Thursday Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the quad. Local artists and student designers will present their featured art and fashion.

A fall plant sale will be held Thursday and Friday this week from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the greenhouse.

Phi Theta Kappa will be holding their Induction of the new fall inductees next Monday Nov 22 from 7-9 p.m. in SSC 212.

Library workshops will be ending on Dec. 2. Sign ups are in Village 3 and the workshop schedule can be found at http://www.saddleback.edu/library/instruction/workshops.html.
