After a grueling race, the winner for the Judicial Superior Court Judge of Orange County was revealed: Debra Carrillo.
The final results showed Carrillo at a 434,511-vote count and 64.3%, while opponent Kermit Marsh trailed behind with 241,678 and 35.7%.
After serving Orange County via numerous law enforcement and attorney jobs, Carrillo proved to be the most qualified and experienced candidate for the occupation of Superior Court Judge.
In her candidate statement, Carrillo states, “As a committed member of this community, and mother of two children, my top priority as judge will be to protect our families from crime and violence.”
She is expected to be tough on crime while still maintaining a level of compassion and fairness.
