Nursing Transfer Fair

The California Nursing Student Association (CNSA), in collaboration with Saddleback College, is holding a Nursing Transfer Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Services building, room 212.

At this event, nursing students have the opportunity to meet with both colleges and universities regarding post graduate degrees including an MSN or BSN. Lunch is planned for both vendors and nursing students attending the fair.

“Bring your resume and dress nicely. Also be prepared with your questions and even an unofficial copy of your transcripts. This is a good chance to see how competitive you will be in the marketplace,” Janet Jacob, Sr. Admin, Nursing said. “We also reached out to the community and invited registered nurses at our local hospitals who might want to pursue an advance degree.”

For nursing students who plan to attend, here is a list of the schools you can expect:
Azusa Pacific
Arizona State
Brandman University
Chamberlin University
Concordia University
California State Fullerton
California State San Marcos
Grand Canyon
Mt. St. Mary’s
National University
Vanguard University
Western University
UCLA

In addition, several vendors who provide NCLEX review classes for nurses were also invited to attend. A raffle will be held and students could win discounts for review classes. The companies attending are: Kaplan, Pearson, ATI and Hurst Review Services.

The CNSA can be reached via their website http://www.cnsa.org/index.html
