IVC screens first documentary of Japanese American Film Series, Friday

The Irvine Valley College Japanese Program presents a free showing of the first of three documentaries, “442 Extreme Patriots of WWII,” Friday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. in BSTIC 103.

“442 Extreme Patriots of WWII” is part one of the documentary trilogy by Junichi Suzuki about the Japanese American soldiers who fought for the US during World War II.

The program is accepting donations to the Nadeshiko Scholarship fund.

Part two, “MIS- Human Secret Weapons,” will screen on Oct. 26, and part three, “Toyo’s Camera-Japanese American History during WWII,” will screen on Nov. 30.
