IVC Round-up 4/7/2010
Baseball:
The Lasers completed a successful week in dramatic fashion at Long Beach on Friday. In the 10th inning, Micah Gorman put the IVC ahead, 3-2, with a deep home run to left-center field, and the Lasers held on for the victory.
The win was the second of the three-game series against Long Beach, and gave the Lasers their first series win of the season. IVC improved to 8-18 overall.
Women’s tennis:
IVC continued its push towards the playoffs with an impressive 8-1 home win over Riverside on March 30. The Lasers won five singles matches and swept the doubles matches.
IVC improved to 9-3 overall and 4-3 in the Orange Empire Conference. The Lasers are tied with Orange Coast College for second place in the OEC. Each team is two matches behind first-place Saddleback.
