IVC Golf impresses at OEC Tee-Off

The IVC Women’s Golf team jump started its season last Wednesday by finishing in second place at the Orange Empire Conference Tee-Off Classic at El Prado located in Chino Hills.

The Lasers (339) finished 10 strokes behind the leader, Santiago Canyon College (329). The Lasers were led by Freshmen Felicia Titus from Valencia who shot a 79. She also had 1 birdie on the day. Her score of 79 who had the second best score of the tournament.

Santa Ana took third place shooting 365, while Saddleback came in fourth with a score of 394. The next match for the Lasers will take place against all of their Orange Empire opponents at Oak Creek Monday September 15th at 1230 PM.

The other teams in the field will include Saddleback, Santa Ana, Santiago Canyon College and Golden West. The Lasers will look to improve on their first tournament at the Desert Invitational which happend last weekend. IVC Golf has shown improvemet over the last few years, gaining in the OEC standings each year. With returning players the Lasers seem set to make a run this fall.
