IVC course takes students to art museums

Both Irvine Valley College and Saddleback students will have the opportunity to gain an insider’s understanding of careers in art from representatives of museums such as LACMA, The Getty Center, OCMA and other institutions.

Assistant Professor of Art History, Amy Grimm will be teaching the Intro to Museums and Curatorial Practices in IVC’s campus.

Completion of the courses helps to earn a certificate in Curatorial Studies.

In-demand and marketable skills are earned in these low-unit certificates of proficiency,” says Grim about the relevance of the courses offered.

IVC is one of the few Community Colleges with a Museums Studies program.

Grimm begins teaching the first Museums Study course this Friday at 9am at IVC
