Irvine Valley wins the 2008 Orange Empire Conference

The Irvine Valley College Lasers closed out their season of Orange Empire Conference play with leaders in the conference. Freshmen Felicia Titus ranked No.1 with an 18 hole average of 79.45. Sam Roberts finished No.2 with an average score of 82.00.

Courtney Schroeder finished No. 8 with a score of 88.00. Alex Cavillo No.12 with 89.45 average. Val Watts placed No. 14 in conference with a score of 91.09 and finishing out the top 15 was Bianca Brown with a 91.73 score.

In total six of the top 15 finishers were Laser Golfers. The Gauchos did not have a player finish in the top 15. The Lasers won their conference for the 2008 season.

During the first day of the Southern California Regionals IVC was able to keep the lead with a score of 355. Santiago Canyon College was very close at 356, Santa Barbara college was at 360, Palomar College at 367, College of the Canyons 377 and Long Beach College far behind at 391.

Titus finished as a medalist with the title Orange Empire Conference player of the year. Titus had 81 on the par 72 links style course.
