Extra-curricular activities offered for students

There’s more to Saddleback College than the usual run-of-the-mill classes. From motorcycle training to support groups geared to helping students in a rut, students are encouraged to ask “what else can I get out of Saddleback?” Here are just a few things that Saddleback has to offer its students and the surrounding community.

Saddleback Rider Training offers a hands-on Saturday course which shows students how to safely operate a motorcycle, “with, according to their Web site, “an emphasis on the special skills and mental attitudes necessary for dealing with traffic.” Sounds good, right? Completion of this one course waives the Department of Motor Vehicles on-bike testing needed by the Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain a motorcycle license in the State of California.

Don’t have a motorcycle yet? That’s fine, the course supplies the bikes for free. A valid motorcycle license or permit is required to enroll. The class fee is $250 for students 21 and older; the fee is reduced if the individual is 20 or younger. For more information, visit saddlebackridertraining.com.
