Cross Country preps for OEC Finals
For the Gauchos Cross Country teams, the biggest meet of the season is just on the horizon. The OEC finals are just around the corner, the Gauchos along with other colleges from the southern California region will be in attendance. The Mens cross country team has had success in each of their last three contests, claiming gold in the first, and bronze in the next two. The mens team is spear headed by Ricardo Medina, Brian Gomez, and Mike Stoeffler, each man finished in the top five at least once this season, the womans team is lead by Ana Gamboa, Quinn Xifo, and Amanda Idris, each of these three women have finished in the top ten at least once this season as well.
Saddleback looks poised to once again claim a medal in this upcoming event, OEC Championship plaques will be awarded to the top 2 teams, men and women. Medals will be awarded to the top six finishers in each event.
The OEC finals is set for Oct. 26, 9 a.m. at Irvine Park.
