Coming to the Spotlight

* Saddleback Jazz faculty will unite to offer an evening of music Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. in the McKinney. Tickets are $10/general, $7/students and seniors.

* “The Vagina Monologues” will be presented in the McKinney on Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling 582-4979. Proceeds will benefit Laura’s House.* Free movie screening of “Golden Door,” a Venice Film Festival winner, will be held Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. in SSC 212.

* An Artists Reception will be held for the opening of the IVC Art Gallery Exhibit “Anti-Static” Feb. 7 from 6-8 p.m. The exhibit features contemporary kinetic sculpture and will run from Feb. 7-Mar. 14. The event is free to the public.

* Jazz Day will be celebrated with Saddleback’s Big Band and special guest Wayne Bergeron Feb. 9 in the McKinney at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15/general, $10 students/seniors.

* Guest artist Michael Kirkendoll will perform a piano recital in IVC’s new Performing Arts Center Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15/general, $10 students/seniors.

* IVC Chorale will present “An Elizabethan Valentine” Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $8/general, $6 students/seniors.

* The Concert Hour will feature a duo piano recital Feb. 14 at noon in FA 101 with music instructor Rebecca Rollins and Robert Sage. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit piano scholarships..
