Basketball dominates early in season

The Irvine Valley women’s basketball team is back at it again. The Lasers started the 2008-09 season with a victory.
The Lasers defeated Grossmont, 73-59, last Friday in their first contest of the San Diego Mesa Tip Off Tournament.
The men’s basketball team for IVC started the tournament weak. The Lasers are ranked No. 8 in the state lost a nail biter, 77-73, against Palomar, a game which featured 14 three-pointers by the Palomar Comets.
