Pre-DVD release screenings are a rare commodity, especially when they’re what many consider the best film of the year. ASG kicked off the holiday season by sponsoring a screening of “Inception” on Dec. 1 at 6 P.M. at Saddleback College. The 21 ft. screen on the lawn in front of the Health Sciences building could be seen all the way across the parking lot. About 75 students attended, many in groups but some by themselves who didn’t want to pass up the opportunity.

Students brought blankets and lawn chairs, while most of ASG sat on inflatable couches towards the front.

Those who brought toy or cash donations could exchange their gifts for a ticket, and were treated to cocoa, coffee, or smoothes, in a variety of flavors, in addition to popcorn.

Inception will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on Dec. 7. Be sure to pick up a copy if you’ve missed out so far.
