Hornets whacked by Gauchos
The Gauchos lead the Hornets by a game-high of 35 points and played the whole roster during the second half to defeat in-conference opponent Fullerton College basketball team, 84-64.
Saddleback College men’s basketball team chalks up another win to continue their winning streak to four games making them 5-1 in the Orange Empire Conference. Fullerton is now 1-5 and last place in the conference. The Hornets are 5-16 regular season record after the loss tonight.
The Gauchos lead by 28 at halftime and earned an average 32 point lead for two-thirds of the second half.
Even with the Hornets improving in the second half in both field goal and three-pointer percentage and the Gauchos shooting seven percent less in field goal range and twenty four percent less on three pointers the Gauchos still scored more points.
