SEAN PARVIN
Saddleback College Baseball, Second Baseman
In last Thursday’s win against San Diego Mesa, the Gauchos second basesmen went three for four, driving in three runs and a scoring of his own. Brett Vertigan set the table all day for the Gauchos going four for five, with two doubles which made Parvin’s job at the plate just a but easier in the rout of the Olympians. With the win the Gauchos now are over the .500 mark with a 7-6 record on the season. Thursday starts Orange Empire Conference play as the Gauchos host the Lasers at 2 p.m.
FRANKLIN SESSION
Saddleback College Men’s Basketball, Guard
In the last game of the regular season against Riverside, Session rose his game, like he has so many times this season. He finished with 30 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, six of those coming on the offensive end. The Gauchos finished their season with 25 wins overall and 10 in conference. Session finished 50 percent from the field while shooting eight of nine from the free throw line. He also earned the Orange Empire Conference Most Valuable Player award.
