Lunch-time webinars will be in session to give help to students prepare for job searching, hosted by Saddleback College’s Center for Career and Life Development with TalentMarks.com Wednesdays 12 p.m.-1 p.m. starting October 6.

There will be nine webinars total which each include feature experts who will teach students how to organize job searches, plan careers and use websites like LinkedIn and Facebook to find jobs.

Topics start with ethics and go from there with sessions on career planning, networking, resumes, Facebook, LinkedIn, branding, job search and job retention.

TalentMarks is a firm that provides career coaching to college graduates and alumni. Some of the speakers they will bring in as experts are Corey Cicocchetti, Christine Hassler, Diane Carling, and more.

There has been a 31.3 percent decrease in job hires from the year 2008 to 2009, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Another 5.3 percent is hoped to be employed this year, and these webinars are meant to help students grab those positions.

The webinars are free and limited space is available, so reserving a seat may be necessary and can be done by contacting the Center for Career and Life Development at (949) 582-4575 or e-mail at [email protected]

The webinars will be held in the Student Services Building Room 140 on the Library side, for additional information visit http://www.saddleback.edu/jobs/CareerWebinarSeries2010.html .
