Nancy Harvey passed away Dec. 22, 2011, at a board and care facility in Mission Viejo, after a long and profoundly debilitating neurological ailment.

Harvey worked at Saddleback College for five years as a Senior Administrative Secretary to the Dean of Liberal Arts, retiring in March 1993.

Also known as “The Lemon Drop Lady”, Nancy is survived by her husband, Rod, of Laguna Hills, her sister Suzanne, and her daughter Kimberly, from Corona.

The nickname “The Lemon Drop Lady” was given to her for her habit of always having candy and her generosity.

“I was so sorry to learn of Nancy’s death,” said Carol Ziehm, English/journalism instructor. “She added a lot of spirit to the Liberal Arts Division office. She was quick with a joke and always had fun. What she liked most was interacting with students. Nancy truly understood the concept that students are the most important part of the institution.”
