Saddleback College and IVC holding Welcome Back festivities

As students return from their summer vacations, Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College are both holding Welcome Back Week activities for students.

On Monday, the Waffle-icious Food Truck will be at Saddleback from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The first 150 students with an ASB Stamp will receive free food. Saddleback will also have a musical guest in the quad, the Le Paige Band, at 12:00 p.m.

There will be another musical guest at Saddleback on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 12:00 p.m., and the Soho Food Truck will be at Saddleback on Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Clubs at Saddleback will be out in the quad from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday for Club Rush.

Saddleback’s opening week events conclude Thursday night with a Moonlight Movie Night at 7:30 p.m. They will be showing, “Now You See Me”, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, and Woody Harrelson.

According to the IVC website, “From [12:00 p.m.to 1:30 p.m. both Monday and Tuesday, (August 19 and 20) in the SSC Quad, there will be free ice cream, live music, and games to welcome students back for the start of a new semester.” 

The IVC website also says that singer Kevin Miso will be performing live on Monday, while the Le Paige Band will be playing on Tuesday.

IVC will be holding a Welcome Back Open House on Wednesday in the SSC Patio and Game Room (SSC 200K) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be free pizza, drinks, and music according to the release.
