Power is out at Saddleback, campus shut down until Friday

A power outage caused by a San Diego Gas & Electric transmission failure has shut off all power at Saddleback College, large parts of southern California, and western Arizona.

According to a text message from the Blackboard notification system sent out to students at 4:54 p.m., classes are canceled for the rest of today but will resume Friday as scheduled. 

More than 1.4 million people are without power, according to SDG&E’s Twitter page.
