Marissa Presley from Laura’s House discusses domestic violence Oct. 18
The Saddleback College Women’s and Gender Studies Program along with the Women’s and Gender Studies Advisory Committee (WGSAC) is hosting several events this week to bring awareness about domestic violence to our students, campus and community.
On Thursday, Oct. 18th in SSC 212 at 10:30 a.m., Marissa Presley from Laura’s House domestic violence shelter will be on campus discussing domestic violence awareness, prevention and the dynamics of domestic violence.
Ms. Presley will also be sharing her own personal story as a victim of domestic violence. It is the hope of the WGSAC that students will come away from these events with awareness to see the warning signs of abusive relationships and be equipped to make a difference in their own lives and those around them.
