Lack of police activity shows a safe Saddleback campus

“Boring Campus!” Deputy Chief Jim Pyle said with a large emphasis on “boring” as he describes how things are for the Campus Police here at Saddleback College.

The Campus Police Report Log reflects just that overall – although it can certainly be misleading.

For instance, Hit & Run is when someone does some sort of damage to your car while its parked and takes off without leaving a note or contacting the Campus Police.

The Assault & Battery is basically a little shoving match between a male and a female.

Then lastly the Student Misconduct is when someone is being obnoxious and disruptive in class.

Then the boring comes in when all the reports have to be written and safe is how we all feel when our Campus Police are bored.

The Deputy Chief’s main message is for us is about the Great California Shake Out.  A worldwide earthquake drill that will be on Oct. 18 at 10:18 a.m. and will include the evacuation of all school buildings and will take about 30 minutes.
