IVC presents Spring dance concert

The dance department at Irvine Valley College will be showing off their skills at the Spring Dance Concert this weekend.

The dancers and choreographers have been working on these pieces during the semester and are ready to present their work. The genres include hip hop, contemporary, jazz and Bollywood.

“I’ve been doing the show for the past three years and I feel like this show has the highest quality of dancers and choreographers,” Dylan Ochoa, 21-year-old dance major, said. “It’s going to be a really good show.”

Some of the pieces are choreographed by students, but other are by faculty such as Cruz who teaches hip hop and jazz and Marie De La Palme who teaches ballet and runs the performing dance ensemble.

They will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday on the Performing Arts Center Main Stage . Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at http://www.ivcarts.org.
